The Candid Portrait

I was looking back at favorite outdoor shots from last year and came across this image of three children interacting. Mom and Dad chose a more formal portrait for the family room wall portrait, but I just love the warmth and personality of this candid. Each child’s personality is so vividly shown, and they are genuinely happy. Achieving a balance between perfection and elegance in formal portrait and the challenge to capture feeling and still look artful in candid portraiture are never-ending goals in portraiture.
