Environment
Patricia does both studio and environmental work. Her outdoor studio includes a lovely pond and dock, as well as flower gardens and a wooded glen. In the studio are a variety of canvases made specifically for her studio and style. There is also a formal set with fireplace and a gently lighted window area.
PropsThe loveliest portraits are the simplest, so Patricia makes limited use of props. However, a few things work beautifully. For example, her antique wheelbarrow where kids can cuddle up and a darling cradle for babies add, rather than detract, from the feel of the image.
StylePatricia will talk with you about the type of portrait you have in mind and will help you refine your ideas to create the image that is just right for your home. Once the feel of the portrait is established, setting and costuming will be decided upon. The making of a painted portrait is a cooperative effort. Your vision combines with Patricia\'s to create a work of art you will treasure forever. It is a grand adventure, filled with fun and memories that will enhance the pleasure you take every time you view your portrait. |

DancersAs a dancer, Patricia can reach to that ballet spirit in your child and capture the loveliness of dance. The studio is equipped with a barre and tutus of varying sizes appropriate to a painted portrait. If you have a particular costume you would like to use, we can work with that. Many parents have more than one dancer in the family. Here is an opportunity to create a portrait of them together in a unique work of art.
